Nominating Committee seeking nominations
for Fall Conference elections. Following Board positions
will be voted on at the Fall Conference in November 2010:
President, Second Vice President, Treasurer and (2) at large
board members.
Nominating Procedure:
Any member of the association may submit to the nominating
committee in writing, a recommendation for nomination of an
elected office provided such member has obtained permission
of the recommended nominee to have his or her name
submitted. Any person nominated must be a member of the
Association for at least one year. The recommending member
must submit to the nominating committee supporting
information concerning the nominee’s qualifications. The
nominee must submit document of support from their Chief or
Sheriff prior to being placed on the ballot. All retired
members will be required to submit a letter from their local
law enforcement agency stating that they are a member of the
community in good standing. Remember that no nominations
will be taken from the floor at the membership meeting.
Voting members will be allowed to write in a qualified
candidate’s name, however, that candidate must meet all
qualifications and requirements as stated above for a
nomination.
